I wanted to share an image from my portrait shoot yesterday with Amya and Judah. They were fun to photograph and I can't wait to edit the rest of their photographs.

Black and white hallway

One of the things I love about taking photographs for myself is I get the final say over how my images look. For example, black and white vs. color. It was always so frustrating as a newspaper photographer when the editor would put a photo on a jump page in black and white when the photo screamed for color. Or vice versa when I shot something amazing in black and white but it was forced to be in color on a front page.

The beginning

So I decided this evening...on a whim...to start another blog. This blog will be about my photography. As ideas flow and photos get posted I'm sure this blog will shape into something new and creative.
I'm sure I will re-visit my archives and post a pic or two of Adeline, maybe even some from my friends and family who also love to take photographs will share and contribute their work.
